Building a flexible, but dependable wardrobe takes time. Invest more money in classic pieces that can be worn across several seasons and years. You may cringe at the price at first, but I have pieces in my closet I've had for over ten years and I still wear them regularly. They long ago paid for themselves. |
Pay fewer dollars for your trendy pieces or colors you may only wear for a seasons or two. However, if there is a particular color or style that you can wear especially well.... it may become a timeless piece for you. Warm brown tones are especially good for me to wear, yet they're not available every season in the current fashion pallet. When it is a part of the current season's color trend, I invest in several good quality pieces in basic pieces such as blazers or sweater sets, because I know I will wear it for years to come. |
